BE DIFFERENT, BE MPL

As team leader, you will manage and support the daily operations of a team of forwarders (food). This entails supporting your team to resolve practical problems or dealing with complex cases. You play an active part in processing and organizing the division of tasks within your team. You are also a good people manager. You guide and evaluate your team of forwarders and establish clear expectations. You are also focused on your team's development and support them, where required, with the operational completion of tasks. As a coordinator, you work to foster and maintain a positive culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Another important part of your role is interacting with customers and building close relationships with them. You do this in close consultation with the manager of the relevant unit.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

You have at least a bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience. You have extensive knowledge of and experience in forwarding (import & export). If you have experience in a coordinating role in the maritime sector, that would be a big advantage. Thanks to your management experience you know how to create a team, and to motivate them to work together towards an objective.

Additionally, you have a talent for giving feedback to employees, and ensuring that they are always enthusiastic about their work. You have good communication skills in Dutch and English and are an excellent problem solver. You have a sharp customer focus and are a good networker who can further develop professional relationships.
