Teamleader - Import


We are looking for an experienced Teamleader Import who knows freight forwarding inside out and understands that great results start with great people.
You will lead a team of import professionals and make sure they have everything they need to succeed. You coach, support and challenge your colleagues every day. You celebrate successes, address issues when needed and help your team grow both professionally and personally.
You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump into operations when required. You lead by example, keep an overview in busy periods and make sure customers receive the service they expect from MPL.
You know the forwarding business. You understand customer needs, spot opportunities before others do and always look for ways to improve processes, service levels and team performance.
Most importantly, you bring energy, ownership and a winning mentality. You don't settle for "good enough" and inspire your team to go the extra mile every single day.
Knowledge is power
- Extensive experience in ocean freight forwarding, with a strong focus on import operations.
- Proven experience leading a team within a forwarding or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs processes and international transport regulations.
- The ability to prioritize, organize and keep control in a fast-paced operational environment.
- A customer-focused mindset combined with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. Additional languages are always a plus.
- Comfortable working with transport management systems and continuously looking for smarter ways of working.
