As our Senior Accountant, you’re the guardian of financial integrity and a trusted partner to the business. You ensure that every number is accurate, compliant, and meaningful. From general ledger to reporting, from VAT and Zakat filings to management insights, you take ownership of the full accounting cycle.

You go beyond routine accounting work. You bring structure to complexity, streamline processes, and strengthen internal controls. You spot risks before they become issues and turn data into actionable insights that help management steer the business in the right direction.

With your strong technical background and understanding of local regulations, you make sure our operations meet both Saudi compliance standards as well as the international group reporting requirements. You work closely with colleagues across different departments and regions, supporting the company’s growth with reliable financial information.

Your responsibilities

• Manage all general ledger activities and ensure timely monthly and annual closings.

• Prepare full financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in line with IFRS and SOCPA.

• Handle VAT and Zakat declarations and ensure full compliance with local regulations.

• Coordinate with auditors and strengthen internal controls.

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, reconciliations, and cash.

• Process the payroll and related provisions.

• Prepare management reports, conduct variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting.

• Master the group reporting process in order to provide valuable support in the monthly consolidation process.

At MPL, we turn knowledge into action. Who are we looking for?

• You have 4–8 years of experience in accounting, ideally within freight forwarding or logistics in Saudi Arabia.

• You know your way around IFRS (as endorsed by SOCPA) and local tax regulations (Zakat and VAT).

• You’re fluent in English. Arabic is a strong plus.

• You have strong analytical skills and advanced Excel know-how.

• You are able to adapt to the various software systems in use.

• Integrity, precision, and ownership define your way of working.
