Global Reach, Local Touch

Guy Pasmans, MPL's CEO, highlights the importance of this growth, stating, "This expansion to the different regions aligns perfectly with the evolving landscape of logistics and market demands." Pasmans emphasizes that the new offices will serve as local touchpoints for MPL's customers, enèabling the company to deliver swift and top-tier logistics services.

Ken Joris, MPL's Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), further elaborates, "We have intentionally accelerated our expansion into Asia to better serve our global customers and tap into intra-Asia flows, anchoring MPL in growing local economies." He points out that MPL's Hong Kong office is particularly crucial for its beverage division, which is also strengthening its expertise in Spain, Italy, and France to cater for wine exporters. Additionally, MPL's new office in Japan opens opportunities for sake transportation.

MPL's New Headquarters and Environmental Commitment

One of the notable recent developments is the establishment of a new office on Noorderlaan in Antwerp, Belgium. "The new extra office was a necessary move for our growing number of employees," explains Evert Janssens, HR Manager. "In our ambition to make the difference for our customers the MPL colleagues deserve an inspiring and comfortable environment to deliver the best work possible."

Alongside the expansion of new offices, MPL is planning a major renovation of its Antwerp headquarters. The objectives of this renovation are to significantly reduce the building's environmental footprint while providing stateof-the-art facilities for MPL employees to enhance their work environment and productivity.

"With growth comes expansion, and we have experienced this firsthand in our HQ in Antwerp," says Ivan Rasic, MPL's General Manager Belgium. "Almost weekly, we welcome new colleagues, and it's important for us to provide them with the best possible facilities. For example, we have a nice lunch area, even a rooftop, and a gym in every office."

Be different – Be MPL

As MPL continues its global developments, it remains dedicated to its 'Be different – Be MPL' culture, fostering a personal approach among employees and clients to keep them connected. The company also values freedom and ownership, trusting its employees to make informed decisions while considering the broader perspective. By prioritizing the happiness of its employees, Manuport Logistics ensures satisfied customers, as a happy employee translates to a happy customer.

For some time now, MPL has been working hard to build up an international network, and in recent years has opened offices in Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Greece, and Peru, among other countries. Alongside this, it is focused on developing its Liquids services worldwide.
