Thailand’s strategic location and industrial strength make it an ideal hub for MPL’s new office. It serves as a connection to Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and southern China. It is also a major industrial hub, with exports of (petro-)chemicals, electronics, cars, consumers goods, and agricultural products.

“Opening a Thailand office brings unique opportunities,” mentions Kristoff Wharton, MPL’s APAC Regional Director. “In the initial phase our local focus will be on reefer and liquids because of the extensive experience of our current team, but we will quickly expand to a wide array of commodities from furniture to electronics, consumer goods and general cargo.”

Addy Pattharit, Managing Director of MPL Thailand, adds: “Thailand is packed with possibilities. Opening an office here allows us to deliver specialized services tailored to the market, backed by our team of experts.

As the logistics sector in Thailand is a key target for development by the government, we contribute to the development of local capacity and expertise.”

MPL’s global network, with over 40 offices worldwide, enables door-to-door solutions to be managed entirely in-house. This ensures full control over the supply chain and reduces dependence on external agents.

“We’re beyond excited to plant our flag in Thailand!” expresses Guy Pasmans, CEO of MPL. “This expansion is a step forward in our global journey. It not only strengthens our network but also positions us as a trusted local expert for clients in Southeast Asia.”
